Secure Storage is a complex industry. We are here to help you learn as much as you can, so we can all improve our workplaces and environment. Here is a list of some commonly asked questions. If your question isn’t listed, email us and we will offer a solution as soon as we can.

Q:

How do I prepare my site for installation of a PRO-TEC?

A:

These units should be installed on a smooth, level compacted surface that exceeds the dimensions of the unit by a minimum of 1 ft. (30.48 cm) on all sides. Surface at the access door should take into account special items required by the end user such as ramps or stairs. All foundations should be resistant to erosion and frost heaving.

Q:

Do I have to statically ground a PRO-TEC?

A:

Yes! In order to provide lightning protection your PRO-TEC Storage Solution should be grounded by securing a grounding line from the lug provided at skid level to an appropriate grounding rod. Correct testing and connection should be performed by Authorized Personnel.

Q:

What needs to be done on site to complete the electrical connection?

A:

All wiring for equipment is taken to an external junction box for final connection on site. It is the customers’ responsibility to supply qualified personnel to perform this service.

Q:

Do I need to Fire Rate the PRO-TEC?

A:

This depends on where you plan on placing the unit. We will need to know what you will be storing in the PRO-TEC as well, to help you determine if you need this option. Our qualified dealer will be able to assist you with this question.

Q:

What can I store in a PRO-TEC?

A:

You can store any hazardous or dangerous good in a PRO-TEC with the exception of Explosives, Radioactive or Bio-Hazardous products.

Q:

I want to store incompatible goods in the same building. Is this possible?

A:

Yes it is! With a PRO-TEC we can customize the layout to suit your needs.

Q:

I may want to move or relocate my PRO-TEC sometime in the future. Will this be a problem?

A:

No! Our heavy duty construction ensures that there is no damage to the PRO-TEC if it has to be relocated. Most of our models can be easily moved with a fork-lift.

Q:

How much assembly is required when I receive my PRO-TEC Storage Solution?

A:

There is very little assembly required when you take delivery of your PRO-TEC. These units are preassembled at our factory and come with an easy to read owners manual with information pertinent to your specific model and accessories.
